Appalling customer service at The Sleeping Giant

I don’t expect anyone to really read this rant but I just had to get this off my mind! This is my experience with The Sleeping Giant and The Bedrooms Collection at Auburn.

So everyone knows I was excited about the deliver of my new bed frame and mattress!

On the 25/10, I purchased and paid for a Topaz bed frame in double and a mattress from Bedroom Collection in Auburn. Delivery was the following Saturday – 31/10. However, I was sent the wrong part with the wooden posts for the frame being in a box labelled for a king single which is definitely not what I ordered and the holes for the frame and wooden posts DO NOT match up. I promptly notified Bedroom Collection of this mistake and was told that someone would be coming out on the 04/11 with the right wooden posts. Again, on the 04/11, I was delivered the exact same wooden posts not for a double bed but a king single. The delivery guy informed me that they did not have the wooden posts for the double bed in stock and I would have to wait. I once again notified Bedroom Collection where the sales assisstant informed me that he had contacted a supervisor who would soon contact me to solve the problem and in the meantime, he would contact the warehouse to see what is going on. The sales assisstant gave me a call back and stated that the people at the warehouse would not send the wooden posts out if they knew it would not fit. But even the delivery guy tried to see whether they would fit and it doesn’t.

It has been TWO days since and I have had no phone call despite me calling their head office where the receptionist informed me yesterday, 05/11, that someone would be contacting me THE SAME DAY. Uh, did NOT happen.

This kind of service is unacceptable. I have had to chase down someone just to find a solution to this mistake on their part. I’m being given the run-around with no one accepting responsibility. Hello? I don’t have all day to be waiting around for a phone call which isn’t going to happen!

Seriously. If it’s not in stock, say so. Don’t tell me to reselect another frame cos if I wanted another frame, I would’ve chosen it in the beginning.

I AM FRUSTRATED!

    >I totally understand how u feel!! The ppl at the store at Auburn Megamall Sleeping Giant are so rude and not helpful at all. Like u, we had to find solutions to the mistake on their part. They forgot to put our order in for delivery, and told us that there's nothing they can do abt it but wait till next week. They think by just saying "sorry, there's nothing we can do about it" is their idea of excellent customer service. We had to call the store delivery guy ourselves to check if anything could be done to rectify THEIR mistake, called back and forth, went into the store to try to rectify the problem but they treated us like kids, tried to lecture us about life, and made remarks like "luckily they are not my kids". APPALLING!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.What happened to service with a smile, customers come first and customers are always right???
