She’s So Jetset kit $89AUD*

Benefit She's So Jetset $89AUD

This is a nine-piece makeup set that’s ideal for the travelling makeup addict looking to consolidate a number of makeup products into one palette. Comes with: four eyeshadows (7g) (Champagne Please, Gold Card, Pretty in Mink, Elegant Espresso), The POREfessional (7.5ml), They’re Real! mascara (4g), Life on the A-List lipgloss (5.2ml), First-Class Face Powder with own brush (3g) and a dual-ended sponge-tipped applicator.

Benefit She's So Jetset $89AUD

While the colours are not unique or exciting by any stretch of the imagination, they are neutral and ‘safe’ and have the ability to be used in both a daytime and night time look. The products are great at helping you achieve a great ‘bright eyed’ look even after flying long haul. I like that all products are travel size and can be carried onto a plane without risking confiscation – definitely perfect for flight attendants or travelling business professionals etc

BURT’S BEES (available at David Jones, Harrisons Pharmacies, Kleins Perfumery, Terry White Chemists and selected retail outlets. Also available online at www.burtsbees.com.au)

DERMALOGICA (available at salons nationwide. For your nearest salon, check the Dermalogica website here to locate one)

I class Dermalogica as a ‘treat’ for my skin. It’s one of those brands where when I can afford it, I purchase. My skin loves it! This Christmas, Dermalogica has released three value-for-money packs whereby you pay for one full-size product and you receive two free gifts in the sets:

Special Cleansing Gel Set $53AUD

You get the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel and receive the Skin Prep Scrub (22ml) and PreCleanse (30ml) for free.

Multivitamin Thermafoliant Set $90AUD

This set includes the Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermofoliant and receive the Antioxidant Hydramist (30ml) and Skin Resurfacing Cleanser (30ml) for free.

Daily Microfoliant Set $83.50AUD

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the Daily Microfoliant. So much so that when they were offering it for free with a magazine, I grabbed two copies!

So this set is going on my Christmas wishlist! You get the Dermaolgica Daily Microfoliant (75g) and receive the Gentle Cream Exfoliant (10ml) and PreCleanse (30ml) for free.

Review – Benefit Watt’s Up

Lighten up your world with watt’s up. Our delicate champagne sheer highlighter turns on “watt” ya got with a luminous sheen & cream-to-powder finish. Glide on your cheek & brow bones…then sculpt with its soft glow blender for a gorgeous gleam. (Benefit)

Benefit Watt's Up

I love highlighters! I am not a big fan of matte looks. Even with my matte blushes, 90% of the time, I apply a highlighter over it. I have a million different highlighters for my cheek and brow bones. Yes..they look different enough (when swatched ahah) to justify owning so much.

A new and welcomed addition to my highlighting products stash is Benefit’s new Watt’s Up (RRP$53AUD) which was released just recently (October 8th). How cute is the name? Watt’s as in light bulb watts because it’s a product that will make you glow like a light bulb! No? Oh well. Sounded good in my head.

It comes packaged sorta like a light bulb.

At one end, you’ve got the cream-to-powder finish product – like so

Benefit Watt's Up

Flip it around and you’ve got the blender so you can have a soft glow…

Benefit Watt's Up

Watt’s Up gives off the most gorgeous soft champagne glow know to women around the world. You can see in the swatch picture below how it almost blends into my skin colour. Oh my goodness – this caused me a lot of grief when I first applied it.

Benefit Watt's Up swatch - natural light

I was dabbing it gently on cos well, we don’t (I definitely don’t!) want a discoball on the cheekbones. At first, I was like, huh? I can’t see it! So I went to town with this. What a mistake that was. I turned my head a bit into the light and KAPOW! Big mistake. Thinking of how I should fix this faux pas, I whipped out the blender at the other end and blended the crap out of it. Final result?

Benefit Watt's Up on cheeks - natural light

So..it doesn’t look too bad right? LOL. Maybe I should’ve watched this before applying…

Anyways, the cream-to-powder finish aspect of Watt’s Up reminds me a lot of the NARS multiple. I have one NARS multiple and the application on that one was a bit easier than using Watt’s Up. However, application troubles aside, I love the champagne glow of this – it blends right in and once blended well, it does give off that ‘soft focus’ highlighted look it claims. Definitely a love from me!

Bronzed

I love bronzers! I admit it – I’m one of those girls who can’t stand being pale. In Winter, my skintone lightens to about NC25-30 so I’m actually not that pale anyways but I love it when I’m like NC35-40!

Ironically, I don’t own many bronzers. I find that Tarte Park Avenue Princess bronzer works great for me so why fix something that’s not broken? Anyways, the latest addition to my bronzer family, making it three, is MAC Shooting Star MSF :)

Shooting Star, released in the A Muse collection in 2006, is a nice warm caramel rose shade which just glows on you thanks to the shimmer :)

I compared it to my other bronzers – Benefit Hoola and Tarte Park Avenue Princess for you to see :)
