Review – Guinot Vital Body Care

Guinot is a brand I have heard very little about and have no knowledge of. I’ve since read up on the brand and am very amazed :)

However after using this little beauty, I am making sure I get to know the rest of the Guinot product range.

The product I received for review is called Guinot Vital Body Care – Longue Vie Corps.

Guinot Vital Body Care

It comes in a 200ml red and white bottle. Nice and simple. Whilst I prefer pumps for body moisturisers I had no trouble using this.

Guinot Vital Body Care

It’s claimed to prevent stretch marks and is great for mothers – those who are expecting and those who already have given birth.

The cream also contains 56 regenerating actives to help you in your anti-aging quest! Key ingredients include wheat protein, horse chestnut (strengthens capillary walls and diffuses redness, rich in vitamin P), phytokine and keratolite (combo of malic acid and almond protein which gently eliminates dead skin cells) etc *

The moisturiser does have a slight plastic scent. It’s not overpowering and fades after a couple of minutes.

Now for the product performance itself.

It’s a thick moisturiser but it’s absorbed very quickly into the skin. Immediately after applying, my skin feels smoother and looks moisturised and hydrated. It’s not sticky so you can seriously apply, get dressed and head for the door in 5 minutes.

As for the moisturiser’s anti-aging and firming claims, all I can say is my thighs (which are my most wobbly bits) feel a bit firmer. I know that with products like this, results are not seen in an instant but rather over time so I will continue to use this and see how it goes.

It’s available at approved Guinot stockists (search for your closest one here) for $115AUD.
