Christmas Looks #2 and #3

For look #2, I changed the lashes to something more “out there” using the Glameyes Manicare Sparkle Lashes, a limited edition release made with Swarovski elements*. I decided that if I was going to keep the rest of my make up “simple”, I may as well go all out with my lashes. Little effort for maximum impact!

Christmas Looks with Sorme Cosmetics

I kept the same base and eyes from look #1 but just changed the lips to Sorme Confection lipstick*, a nude peach-pink, almost leaning towards coral, shade. The Sorme lipsticks feels light and hydrating on the lips and the shade makes your lips look so lush!

Look #3, I replaced the lipstick with Empress Lip Thick Gloss, a strawberry red shade*. The gloss claims to be a lip plumper as well but I didn’t notice any major lip plumping effect. I did appreciate that the gloss is not too sticky :)

And a close up of the eye look for all three looks:

I love the effect of these lashes however they did feel slightly heavier than what I am used to. The Swarovski elements added a nice touch of glamour to such a simple look.

When you layer both the lipstick and lipgloss, you get a really nice light berry shade!

Christmas Look #1 – Red Lips

When it comes to Christmas, my default look is always a red lip.

This look features a bright red lip with a very basic eye look. I will be posting look #2 soon which switches up the lip colour but still the same eye look.

FOTD: The Body Shop Christmas Make-up Collection

Here is a quick look that I put together using the Smoky Copper palette and Ruby Sparkle colourglide shine (reviewed here). The other makeup on my face is the eyeliner which is Physicians Formula eyeliner in the brown from the brown eyes trio (reviewed here) and MAC eyebrow shader.

I used the light, off white shade to highlight, the peachy orange all over the lid and the gold light brown in the crease. I didn’t use the dark chocolate brown shade to keep this look daytime friendly.

Face of the day featuring Face of Australia Lip Quench SPF30+

I rarely post full face of the day pictures and I apologise these are not that great. They were taken with the Instagram app. It’s purpose is just to show off the lipsticks!

This is with Lychee Crush

On the rest of my face (as if you could tell lol):

Benefit Hoola (to contour)
Illamasqua Rude cream blush
Mary Kay Signature Eye Primer
Urban Decay Half Baked, Darkhorse and Virgin eyeshadows
MAC Blacktrack fluidline
MAC Carbon eyeshadow
Urban Decay Zero 24/7 liner pencil

Malibu Barbie face of the day with nothing BUT Malibu Barbie!

Eyes of the day: Glowy neutrals

Yesterday I went to my first laser appointment. I am not sure if I should blog about my journey. The reason as to why I want to  is because whilst trying to browse the internet for more information, results, process etc I only came across 2 well-written and informative blogs. They had pictures to show what their results were at various stages, what to do, recommendations etc.

Moving on, this is another look featuring the Urban Decay Naked palette. I am definitely loving the versatility of this palette and it was well worth the money.

What I used:

Mary Kay Signature Eye Primer
Urban Decay Naked palette: Sin, Buck and Virgin
Lancome le stylo waterproof eyeliner – noir

I paired this look with Chanel Mademoiselle rouge coco lipstick for a polished look.

Sorry about the image quality & size. I forgot to resize the image when using the camera :(

Eyes of the day: Gold

This was my look for celebrating my 3 years anniversary with the Mr. We went on a picnic at McMahon’s Point and then had dinner at our favourite Thai restaurant.

Our view

It was the first time I used my Urban Decay Naked palette (thanks Kimmi for CP-ing it!) and I understand what the hype is all about.

With flash

What I used:

Mary Kay Signature Eye Primer
Urban Decay Naked palette: Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse and Virgin
Covergirl Lash Blast mascara

Natural light

Look of the day

Thought I’d try out MAC Mystical eyeshadow (swatch). I paired it with MAC Smut (crease and outer corner) and Phloof (highlight) eyeshadows then lined with Nutrimetics black liquid eye definer and finished with a coat of Covergirl Lash Blast mascara.

Had a quick lunch with Ailing before heading off to work. We had amazing Thai food and even better conversations! :)

Please, please don’t mind my brows. They are beyond feral at the moment as my eyebrow lady is on holidays.

I am disappointed with MAC Mystical eyeshadow’s pigmentation! So disappointed :( I just kept patting it on, patting it on to the point where I just gave up. Sigh!

Eyes of the Day – Wet n Wild

I decided to use my Wet n Wild Vanity palette (swatches here) today.

What I used (and a creepy eyeball pic coming right up lol):
UDPP
Wet n Wild Vanity palette (shimmering beige, gold, bronze, beige, dark brown)

EOTD: Deckchair Corals

Face:
Nivea Be Beautiful! tinted moisturiser
NARS Luster blush
MAC Dancing Light loose beauty powder

Eyes:
UDPP
MAC Deckchair pigment
MAC Melon pigment
MAC Electric Coral pigment
MAC Brule eyeshadow
MAC Blacktrack fluidline
Urban Decay Zero 24/7 pencil liner
Covergirl Lash Blast mascara

Lips:
Chapstick

EOTD: Beach Bronze

I decided to try this combination after coming across it on the web. Pink Bronze didn’t really show up but it did tone down the redness in Coco Beach though.

What I used:
UDPP
MAC Coco Beach pigment
MAC Pink Bronze pigment
MAC Shroom eyeshadow
..can’t remember if I used a liner or not but if I did, it was either MAC Blacktack fluidline or Urban Decay Zero 24/7 pencil liner.

And one of my favourite lippies – Australis High School Sweetheart lipstick (limited edition). Sloppy application on my behalf – sorry!
