Lust Have It! November 2013

November’s Lust Have It! box was jampacked with lots of goodies, with my favourite beign the Benefit They’re Real mascara (my HG!).

Moving on from my excitement .. November’s Lust Have It! contained…

Lust Have It! November 2013

Exclusive offers – Hello Fresh $30 gift card, free Davroe Rebuilder Protein Reconstructor 50ml ($14.95) when purchasing a Davroe Luxe Leave In Masque 200g and a complimentary eye and brow make-upper.

As for the actual samples, we’ve got…

Mary Kay Brow Definer Pencil in Soft Black $17/1.13g

This is in Soft Black but it seems more like a dark brown to me. The name aside, the colour is a nice match and I am still on the hunt for the perfect brow shade and product so looking forward to trying this out.

Lust Have It! November 2013 – Mary Kay Brow Definer Pencil $17/1.13g

Mary Kay Soothing Foot Balm (~$9.50/85g)

This is actually part of a Mary Kay Pedicure Set (limited edition) that retails for $38. With 4 products in the set, it makes each product $9.50 which is cheap! I apply this before bed and then wear socks (unless it’s a ridiculously hot night) and next morning, I wake up with soft feet :) It has a slightly natural scent but nothing too offensive.

Mary Kay Thinking of You EDP  sample towelettes

It smells heavily of florals and just too strong for me..

Benefit They’re Real! mascara ($38/8.5ml = ~$13.41/3ml sample)

As mentioned above, this is my HG mascara. This sample size is great for taking on overnight/weekend trips. It makes my lashes long and luscious, holds a curl and my lashes aren’t crunchy. Win, win, win!

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub ($9.99/150ml = ~$1/15ml sample)

Great size for travel. I’ll probably chuck this into my ‘travel samples’ stash haha

Aveda Hydrating Creme ($89.95/50ml) and Purifying Gel Cleanser ($54.95/150ml) = ~$15.15 for 2 x 7ml samples

Same as above; good size for travel. Have never used Aveda products so it’s a good size to try and see if I like it.

Lonvitalite C3 Red Wine Mask ($32/5 pack = $6.40)

Have never tried this brand of face masks before so will report back. I am addicted to face masks!

Davroe Colour Senses Ends Repair ($9.95/50ml)

I’ve never heard of Davroe but wow, cheap hair products here I come. Promises to seal split ends and especially formulated for colour treated hair – words that suck me right in!

With a total of $72.41, this month’s box contained a wide variety of samples in both full size and sample sizes.

Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box costing $19.95/month.

Review: Lust Have It! October 2013

This month’s Lust Have It is so colourful which fits in with the box’s theme – Spring Race Carnival!

Lust Have It! October 2013

Lust Have It! October 2013

So let’s see what we have this month…

Lust Have It! October 2013

Lust Have It! October 2013

Le Tan Wash Off 40g  ~$6 {$14.99/100ml}
I can understand why this was included in this month’s box but I don’t use self-tanning products at all so this will go into the ‘pass onto others’ stash.

Princess Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Mask $27.50
According to the distributor’s site – here – this single mask alone is worth nearly $30. Um…am I the only one who is saying wtf right now? Paying nearly $30 for a single use mask is a bit ridiculous. We’ll just have to wait and see if it’s worth the tag!! It’s supposed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and keep the skin moisturised.

Smitten Whipped Tinted Mousse Moisturiser $? {$25/30ml}
This is an organic product so it smells ‘natural’ and herb-y .. No size stated on the packaging but it is a deluxe sample so you will definitely get more than one use out of it. The shade I received is Cappuccino and it seems like an ok match. I’ve never heard of a whipped tinted moisturiser so I am intrigued.

Inika Mineral Eyeshadow in Lust $25/1.2g
Lust is a deep jewel green – it’s definitely a shade that is right down my alley. Can’t wait to use it for a green smokey eye look.

Paula’s Choice Oil Blotting Papers $5.25 {$10.50/100 sheets)
What a great addition, especially with the hot weather coming up. These have already made their way into my makeup bag.

EVO Ritual Salvation shampoo and conditioner ~$4.17 each $25/300ml
I am so excited to try these! I’ve heard nothing but praise for EVO products.

There was also a lot of cards for discounted products (wine, The Iconic, $3 off Le Tan range) and two cards with further information about two products in this month’s box.

Lust Have It! October 2013

I really enjoyed October’s Lust Have It box with two full sized products and great deluxe size products. Apart from the fake tan, I’ve already started to use bits and pieces of this month’s contents.

Lust Have It! September 2013

This month’s Lust Have it! box is jam-packed with samples.We’ve got 8 in September’s box – which I find is a lot!

Lust Have It! September 2013

Lust Have It! September 2013

WOTNOT Natural Organic Facial Wipes ~$1.59/5 wipes {sample size}

Face wipes are something that I go through a lot so I am always happy when there’s sample sizes here and there.

Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover $5.80/29ml {mini size}

Mini size – perfect for travelling with or overnight bags.

L’Oreal Base Magique Primer ~$9.98/5ml {sample size}

I’ve never been big into face primers. I just apply my BB creams or foundations straight onto my face. It’s probably going into my ‘pass onto family members’ stash.

L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream or L’Oreal Infallible Make-Up Liquid Foundation ~~$0.90/1ml {sample satchet}

I received the BB cream sample but it comes in those annoying little satchets so again, I’ll just pass this onto my cousins…

Bioderma Sebium Foaming Gel ~$0.60/10ml or AKN ~$4.15/5ml {sample sizes}

Hm, I received samples of both products. I love that they included this brand because I always hear rave reviews about Bioderma products. The foaming comes in the cutest packaging haha resembles the bottle but miniature size!

Baji Skincare Range (selection) {Super-Nutri Rescue Eye Serum} $35-39/15ml {full size}

Ok. There was no price listed on the little handout included in the box as people may have received various products from the range. I received the eye serum and as instructed, went online to the Lust Have It! to find a price which was listed as $39. However, the Baji website listed it as $35. So I guess the price depends on where you buy it?

Moving on…eye serums. This has come at a good time as I have been using my Dermalogica UltraCalming UltraSmoothing Eye Serum religiously that I think I’m about to run out!

Lust Have It! Synthetic Precision Pencil Brush $15 {full size}

I am always grateful for more brushes because I’m so lazy to wash my brushes haha so I tend to use em, leave em aside til I run out of brushes then I am forced to wash them all! This brush is supposed to be good for precise application of cream or powder shadows.

TOM Organic Regular Tampons

This is a bonus product in this month’s box. Bit strange to include it in a beauty subscription box.

My overall thought is…while the two full size products aren’t exactly WOW, they do make up more than the value of the subscription fee and they are products I will use. To me, I’ve found that I’m not that fussy with these boxes so long as the products included are equal to or more than the monthly subscription fee charged and the products are ones I would use. I’m just not a fan of sample satchets though.

Review: Lust Have It June 2013

This is a delayed post as I received the June box towards the end of June/beginning of July when I was going through a difficult time. Better late than never, I say.

Lust Have It, as many of you know by now, is a beauty subscription service. It seems as though they have really stood the test of time because I remember them when the beauty subscription boxes first gained momentum within Australia and they are still around!

The June 2013 box was The Great Gatsby themed. According to the little card in the box, that means they chose items that were ‘classics’.

Lust Have It June 2013

Lust Have It June 2013

One thing new that I noticed was that the box was very pretty and had a magnetic closure as opposed to the older Lust Have It boxes where it was like an actual cardboard box, with a lid etc

In June 2013’s box, the goodies:

Lust Have It June 2013

Lust Have It June 2013

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry {deluxe mini size} You all know how I love my dry shampoos. I recently reviewed it in this blog post here.

Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion – Ocean Mist {sample} I have heard good things about Pure Fiji so of course, I’m excited to use this. Only thing is on the card, it says the scent is Ocean Mist but on my bottle, it says Coconut Infusion. I like little samples of body moisturisers to take with me on short trips as it’s lighter and takes less space.

Real Purity Natural Lipstick in Romatic Red {sample} Again, card says Romantic Red but the little voucher card attached to the lipstick says it’s called Regal Red. I love my red lipsticks so it gives me a chance to try out another one and from a brand that is new to me.

Crown Brush disposable lip brush This was along with the lipstick sample – what a great thought as the lipstick sample comes in a little flip-top pot…thing.

Aromatherapy Associates Signature Bath and Shower Oil {sample} What a luxe sounding product. $59.80AUD/55ml for a shower oil?? It’s supposed to de-stress your body and mind. At first, I thought that I’d have no use for it because I don’t really take baths but then I read the instructions and you can apply it to your body before showering. Nice, nice. Probably the most expensive bath and shower oil I’ll ever own and use.

Doctor Babor Biogen Cellular Repair Gel Cream {sample} Again, another luxe product because I don’t think I could ever justify spending $250AUD for a moisturiser! I’ve already found my HG moisturiser so I’ll pass this onto my mum. She’ll appreciate it!

Overall, with Lust Have It charging $19.95 per month for a box, I think this month was average. There was no stand out products but they included two luxe products. I like to try expensive products first before making the decision on whether or not I want to fork out a truckload of cash for it.
