I have never used nail polish remover pads before but the feedback from others around me told me they were not effective at all. So when I picked up these Manicare Scented Moisturising Nail Polish Remover Pads at the McPherson’s Beauty Boutique last year, they sat in the deep, dark drawers of my beauty cupboard. This year, I grabbed a few more of these at the recent McPherson’s Beauty Boutique and passed them onto my sister. She gave them a try and was amazed! So I decided to try them out for myself to see what this magic is!

These are pre-moistened wipes without the stench of acetone. I usually use pure acetone which removes nail polish quick sticks but the downside is that the alcohol dries out my hands like no tomorrow. I found that these were strong enough to remove my nail polish without the need for constant scrubbing. The smell is not overbearing, in my opinion. Even though the remover pads look thin, one pad was enough to remove the nail polish off all 10 fingers. I have not yet tried these on glitter polishes – this will be the real test! It does leave a slight residue but after massaging the oil into my cuticles = no residue and soft cuticles!

The Manicare Scented Moisturising Nail Polish Remover Pads come in a travel friendly tin containing 32 remover pads. These are great for travel and on-the-go. One tin has already found its way into my handbag as I have a bad habit of forgetting that I have an important meeting or interview and having hot pink nails is a no go.

Consider me a convert. These are great value for money, retailing for about $4.95 but are on sale often so keep your eyes peeled! Available at Myer, Priceline, Kmart, Target, Big W, Priceline, and leading pharmacies.
