Summer Beauty Guide Part 4 – Bronzers

Summer is coming and Beauty Snippets has compiled a Summer Beauty Guide to make the transition from stockings and pants to shorts and skirts easy.

Part four is a compilation of 3 of Beauty Snippets’ favourite bronzers to take you from day to night.

Summer Beauty Guide: Bronzers

As you will no doubt notice, this Summer Beauty Guide doesn’t feature any fake tanning products. This is due to the fact that I am already olive-skinned and have never used a fake tanner in my life. I can’t include such fake tanning products if I have yet to trial them. However, to make up for this, here are three of my favourite bronzers at the moment!

1. Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer ($29.95AUD at selected Priceline stores nationwide)*

Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer

This bronzer is one of my prettiest looking powders in my collection. It’s divided into four even sections, each section has a different shade with the exception of the top and bottom. This leans towards the orange end of the bronzer spectrum compared with my HG Tarte Park Ave Princess bronzer. However, it’s only a slight orange tint which won’t make you look like an oompa loompa. The shimmer particles are apparent when worn making it more of an evening/sunset bronzer for me. It’s sheer but buidable and doesn’t fade throughout the day.

2. Tarte Park Avenue Princess mineral powder bronzer ($29USD at Sephora)

Perfect bronzer for everyday. It’s an ideal shade for a bronzer for me. Not too brown but not too orange either. The shimmers are very fine particles which give off a nice glow. I like my bronzers to be sheer as I can build up the intensity to my liking. This is my HG bronzer. I’ve been using it every summer for the past 2 years and it’s still going!

3. Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Sun Stones ($29.95AUD at selected Priceline stores nationwide)*

These are like the infamous Guerlain Meteorite Balls. Each ‘sun stone’ is a variant of a bronze shade with gold shimmer.

This is more of a highlighter for me than bronzer as the glitter is too chunky and it’s a bit too sheer for me. However, it works perfectly as a highlighter when I opt to wear no blush, bronze blush or nude blush.

Swatches

Swatches: 1 - Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer, 2 - Tarte Park Avenue Princess mineral powder bronzer, 3 - Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Sun Stones

As you can see in the swatch, the Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer is the more orange of the three, with Tarte Park Avenue Princess bronzer more copper bronze in shade and the Physicians Formula Bronze Booster beads are much sheerer and has more larger glitter particles.
